The design proposals follow the objective of fitting into different kitchen environments and breakfast scenarios. While the handle, spout and base are made in injection-molded plastic, the body of the kettle is conceived as a double-walled stainless-steel cylinder. The spout is lined with stainless steel on the inside. The handle on the side incorporates the push button for opening the lid. The base allows settings for the water temperature from 40° to 90° centigrade as well as for keeping the water warm.
In ’Verso’ the stainless-steel cylinder appears to have a u-shaped profile running through it at the top: the profile of the side handle runs recessed through the lid and then re-emerges as the open profile of the spout. With its large lower edges, the base itself reflects the u-profile, albeit as a cross section. To make it more user-friendly, the control panel with touch sensors and temperature display is slightly inclined.
In ’Diago’ the side handle and spout are connected by a triangular shape that seemingly pierces through the stainless-steel cylinder. All the design elements attached to the water tank are in the form of a cylindrical or fully-rounded shape. As the front part of the base consists of a conical section the control panel angles backward to make operations more user friendly.
'Stack' consists of four equally wide rectangular slabs interconnected by narrow seams. The two central slabs house the lengthwise toast slits which are framed on both sides by the outer two slabs. The controls are located in the seams. A roasting grate can be placed on top. The shape symbolizes pieces of toast in a row.
